- Gram is a metal industry solid waste, it has potency to be gas H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide) absorber. Hydrogen Sulfide is one of the impurities gases in Biogas. The chemical formula of gram is Fe2O3. The objectives of this research are to find out the ability of gram to adsorb the gas impurities (H2S) and to define the adsorption optimum period. One unit of adsorption system has used as the analysis tool. The research conducted in continues method. The raw biogas originally taken from the source in the biodigester of tofu industry in purwogondo Kartosuro. The variables observed are weight of packing variation 1 kg, 2 kg, 3 kg, and 4 kg, and gas flow durations are 30 minute, 60 minute, 90 minute, 120 minute, 150 minute and 180 minute. There is no pretreatment for the adsorbent before put it in the adsorption tower as the packing. To analyze the H2S content in the biogas, the gas sample was taken through the valve before coming into the tower. With the gas concentration is between 3000-4000 ppm. The research outcome showed that for packing weight 1 Kg and 3 hours gas flow duration the output gas concentration is increasing from 5.8 ppm to 67.8 ppm. Whereas for the others packing weight variation, the gas output concentration keep stable. There are no significantly changes of its concentration for the same research time duration. The adsorption ability per weight of adsorbent per unit time for fourth adsorbent weight variation are 4,46 gr H2S/gr Fe2O3
