- This study aims to analyze the influence of GDP per capita, government expenditure in education, government expenditure on health, the ratio of labor force that does not work with a number of labor force, the number health centers, type of local hospitals, the population of elementary school graduates and population of junior high school of human development in the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands, 2005-2009, through a panel data model. The findings of this study is the GDP per capita, government expenditures in education and government health expenditure has positive and significant impact on HDI regencies / cities in the province of Bangka Belitung Islands. GDP per capita gives the greatest influence on the HDI followed by government expenditure in health and government expenditure in education. The ratio of labor force that does not work per the number of labor force, the number of health centers, and a population of junior high school graduates has a positive effect on the HDI, but not significant.
