- Education is one of public service that need to be provided by government. In decentralization system in Indonesia, education is one of local government responsibility. The focus of this study is to analyze the decentralization and educational outcome in Indonesia, by using panel data from IFLS period 1997 and 2007. The result is first, decentralization does improve the outcome of education
