- Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is the important element and one of main factors of economic development in the region, because it can be used to measure economic growth. This research is objected to analyze the influence of domestic and foreign invesment, export, labour and government expenditure on economic growth of North Sumatera Province during the period of 1980-2009. The analysis uses Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method with Error Correction Model (ECM). Secondary of time series data of 1980-2009 are applied and supporting sofware from Eviews. The Result of research indicates that in short term, variables government expenditure had a significant effect at α = 5 percent and export had a significant effect at α = 10 percent. While regression coefficient (ECT(-1) with significant according to the theoritical estimation, so the model specification is correct. In long term, variables government expenditure and labour, had a significant effect and gives positive impact to economic growth of Sumatera Utara at α = 5 percent.
