- In Plilan sub-watershed, the existing land resources have not been managed based on its potential, such as some of land resources is still untapped. Moreover, the land use is not in accordance with land capabilities as its upstream area is devoted to food crops. This research is aimed (1) to evaluate the land capability class in the Plilan sub-watershed (2) and to formulate land use planning. Research data was analyzed by comparing (matching) through Land Classification and Land Use Planning (LCLP) Program. This research concludes that the Land Capability Class I is spread over the unit of lands as below: F1L1P (10:22 Ha), F1L1S (65.06 ha), and F1L1TL (22.55 ha). Land Capability Class V is spread over the unit of lands in the denudasional hills as below: D1L1P, D1L2K, D1L2P, D1L2SH, D1L2TL, D1L3B, D1L3P, D1L3S, D1L3SH, D1L3TL, D1L4B, D1L4P, D1L4TL, and in the karst hills including K1L2K, K1L2P, K1L2TL, K1L3B, K1L3K, dan K1L3TL. These units are classified in land capability class VP that have land permeability (P1) as a limitation factor and the existing land use is inappropriate to its land capability class. Therefore, Land Capability Class VI-I is spread over the unit of lands as below: D1L5B, D1L5P, D1L5SH, D1L5TL, dan K1L5TL. These units have a limitation factor such as its slope is more than 45% and the existing land use inappropriate to its land capability class. This research also concludes that land use planning in Plilan subwatershed could be devided into three parts such as in the upstream area might be used for forest or perennials, settlement, agroforestry and crops with conservation practices. In the middle area might be used for settlement, agroforestry and crops with conservation practices. Therefore, in the downstream area might be used for settlement, irrigated field, and dry field (tegalan).
