  • The aim of this research is to find the influence of tourism products (attraction, accessibility, and amenity) spatial distribution to the international tourist travel pattern in Batam Region. Research method that is used is descriptive and qualitative. This research is located in Batam Region, pointed to the Tourism Development Zone Unit of Batam set by the local government. The research findings are: (1) Spatial distribution of tourism typology based on the attraction variety in Batam (2) Spatial distribution of routes of access from/ to and within Batam (3) Spatial distribution of accommodation (by type) and restaurant in Batam (4) Spatial interaction of the tourism products distribution in Batam (5) International touristsâ�� characteristic and the distribution in each gateway in Batam (6) International tourist travel pattern based on their preference toward tourism products in Batam. Result of the research can be concluded as: (1) Among the typologies of attraction exist in Batam, attraction made out of artificial unsure, especially kind of entertainment, dominate the distribution and be the most popular matter for the international tourists (2) The spatial distribution of attraction also identified inappropriate with the tourism development plan in Batam (refer to RTRW Kota Batam 2004-2014) (3) Thereâ��s still no integrated transportation system in Batam, notably to support tourist access within the archipelago (4) Each entry gateway with the routes and the trip frequencies be an important value to bring tourist visit to the attractions (5) Hotel classification, restaurant, and itâ��s distribution within Batam shows the interaction with tourism object and also the target market (6) Interaction among the tourism products (attraction, accessibility, amenity) spatial distribution influence the tourist activity and their travel pattern in Batam.
