- Ecosentrism ethic important application in environmental management especially in the implementation of the Environmental Impact Analysis (EIA) who want to be the main vanguard of environmental resource use for development and human welfare. In implementing the EIA, is not only required a sophisticated method and is positivistic, but also the attitude of wisdom is needed in the environment (ecosophy). Patterns of living wisely manage and maintain as a household nature (ecological) sources of understanding and wisdom that everything in the universe has a value in itself, and this value far exceeds the value of which is owned by and for humans. The title of this dissertation are: Environmental Impact Assessment in Indonesia Ecosentrism Ethics Perspective. The problems discussed in this dissertation are: the nature of the flow 1.How is ecosentrism ethic essensial? 2. How is the root of environmental problems in Indonesia reviewed philosophically? 3.How is framework of EIA in Indonesia think? 4. How is the implementation of EIA in Indonesia.5. How ecosentrism ethical reflection in the implementation of EIA when linked with the principles of sustainable development? This dissertation research is a descriptive qualitative. The method used is hermeneutics, verstehen or understanding and interpretation. The data obtained through research EIA documents and literature. The primary data obtained from direct analysis of search results and document the results of EIA on EIA-making institutions. While the secondary data obtained from books, magazines, articles on the internet, and some regulations concerning EIA. The data is taken from data on the results of EIA documents that have been completed and reported to the competentinstitutions. The results of the study as follows: Through some cases that appear in mind that EIA studies were not strong enough to shield environmental damage in various areas especially in the era of autonomy and decentralization of EIA. The government should take reference to the EIA document, and RKL RPL in making licensing decisions turned out to be indifferent to the impact of its decisions. Weak government commitment to provide the resources, funds, information and Strengthening the government officers who qualified for the persuasive force and the threat of punishment to the employers in implementing environmental management and monitoring efforts that have been set forth in the EIA document. Reflections on ethical theory ecosentrism conclude that ethics is an important applied in the implementation of the EIA who want to be the main vanguard of environmental resource use for development and human welfare. In implementing the EIA, is not only required a sophisticated method and is positivistic, but also the attitude of wisdom is needed in the environment (ecosophy). Actualization understanding of ethical values in EIA ecosentrism done through various ways, one of incorporating the concept in education and government policies in the field of environmental development, for commitment to sustainable development can be realized and benefit the environment and future generation.
