Daftar Isi:
  • This research attempts to analyze the Klassen typology among subdistricts in Ngada regency before expansions (Ngada regency) 2003-2005, and after expansions (Ngada, and Nagekeo regency) in 2006-2009, analyzing the economic performance among sub-districts in Ngada regency before and after expansions, analyzing development inequality among sub-districts in Ngada before and after expansions, and analyze whether the Kuznets curve hypothesis (inverted U-curve) is applicable in Ngada regency before and after the expansions. The tools of analysis are Klassen typology, Economic Performance Index, Index Development Disparities (Williamson Index), Trend Inequality, and Spearman correlation. The result is that based on the typology Klassen, sub-districts in Ngada before and after the expansions can be classified into four types, high growth and high income, high income but low growth, high growth but low income, low growth and low income. While in the Nagekeo regency after expansions Ngada regency can be classified into three types, high income but low growth, high growth but low income, low growth and low income. Based on economic performance, after expansions (2006-2009) an average economic performance in the sub-districts belonging to the Ngada regency increased, but the average economic performance of sub-districts belonging to the Nagekeo regency decreased. Based on the inequality of GDP per capita among sub-districts, after divison, both Ngada and Nagekeo regency, inequality of GDP per capita is greater than the period before the expansions. But after the expansions of inequality tends to decline. In the short term, the hypothesis of Kuznets inverted U-curve applicable in Ngada regency period 2003-2009, and Nagekeo regency period 2006-2009, but the statistical test with the Spearman correlation test, it proved insignificant in the long run.
