- Background: Visits of patients to Dental Clinic of Montasik Health Center have been declining since 2006, particularly in the number of visits of former patients. Objective: The study aimed to identify factors affecting interest of the community to re-utilize Dental and Oral Clinic of Montasik Health Center District of Aceh Besar. Method: The study was a survey that used cross sectional design. Subject of the study consisted of 100 respondents. the sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. Dependent variable: knowledge on dental health, attitude toward dental health, tariff of service, location of service, physical facilities, previous experience of dental care, service of staff and reference group. Independent variable include interest to re-utilize service at Dental Clinic. Research instuments were questionnaires and astructured interview guide. Data analysis used descriptive, correlation, double regression and qualitative technique. Result: The result of the study showed that interest of the community to re-utilize service of Dental Clinic of Montasik Health Center was 5% low, 77% medium and 18% high. From the 100 respondents there were 75% who were less interested in utilizing the service of Dental Clinic of Montasik Health Center. Factors significantly affected interest of the community to re-utilize service of Dental Clinic of Montasik Health Center were knowledge about dental health (p=0.007), attitude toward dental health (p=0.003), previous experience (p=0.002), service of staff (p=0.015) and reference group (p=0.000). Variable most dominantly affected interest of the community to re-utilize service at Dental Clinic of Montasik Health Center was reference group with regression coefficient as much as 0.425. Factors not significantly affecting interest of the community to re-utilize service at Dental Clinic of Montasik Hospital were tariff of service, location of service and physical facilities. Conclusion: 1) Increase of knowledge about dental health, attitude toward dental health service, previous experience of dental care, service of staff and reference group affected interest to re-utilize service at Dental Clinic of Montasik Health Center. 2) Tariff of service, location of service and physical facilities had no significant effect to interest to re-utilize service at Dental Clinic of Montasik Health Center.
