- A word in one language can be mapped into another language in one-to- many, many-to-one, and many-to-many. An example of one-to-many mapping is English�Indonesian preposition. This preposition translation mapping can be worked out using statistical method machine translation. The phrase-based method that embedded with the statistical method makes the machine translation become more powerful in handling preposition translation. As the results, the translation precision for preposition �with�, �by�, �in�, �at�, �after�, and �for� are respectively 81%, 78%, 72%, 64%, 58%, 54%.
