  • The purpose of this research is to make crude palm oil (CPO) stove and to identify the effect of kerosene and CPO on the efficiency of the CPO stove. The manufacture of such stoves fueled by CPO instead of kerosene is expected to provide a solution to the problem of kerosene storage. The research is carried out by means of the CPO stoves is develop of jathopra oil stove was made Joko Subagyo (2008). The independent variables are the mixture of kerosene and CPO, while the dependent variables are the efficiency of the stove. The proportions range from 100% and 0%, 80% and 20%, 60% and 40%, 40% and 60%, 20% and 80%, to 0% and 100% of CPO and kerosene respectively. Each of the blends was viscosity analyzed and to find out the calorie value and used as fuel to boil two liters of water. Then the consumption, as well as the ability of the stove to boil two liters of water using 100% CPO, was examined. The research result shows that the stove can be operated with 100 % CPO. The eficiency of it is 38 % at a temperature of 70 degree C to 80 degree C .By mathematic calculation the maximum stove efficiency is 41,696 % on the viscosity of fuel is 18,03 mm2/s. The equation of correlation in the mixture of kerosene (x) and CPO against the stove efficiency (y) is y = -0,0078x2+ 0,3863x + 33,225.
