- Today website is not only in the scope of 'looking' information but Website currently also the media "of interpersonal environment", where information over the Internet will play a very important role as a venue human interaction in finding information. In supporting the this success, an integration of design/appearance and quality is one important key in the interaction between sites with the user. In terms of designing the website, there are two kinds of designs that can give a general model of site design. These site design are the classic site design and the contemporary site design. Both the website design has differences in perceiving the 3 (three) subvariabel important such as structuring information, highlighting and Navigation. Some important points that concerns in this research are the ability of effectiveness from the two existing designs to inform and explain further about whether a design factor if the most dominant and most influential for the user in obtaining information This research is aimed to analyze the extent which website design can influence the user in tracking information. The results of research revealed that website with the contemporary design was more effective in providing information rather than the classic website. In addition to These results of the research also explains that from the two different designs, the navigation factor is the most dominant factor in the effectiveness of the absorption of the desired informat
