- Jombor is a dense area since many vehicles pass this area to enter the Province of Yogyakarta. The rapid growth in the volume of vehicles passing through this area and the existence of bus terminal will turn this area into a crowded area with potential in congestion. To solve this problem there is a need for interchange infrastructure such as fly over and underpass. The interchange development will certainly result in the changing of the traffic conditions in Jombor. Changes in traffic conditions, among others, include changes in the performance of road and intersection and traffic movement patterns. This research was conducted by analyzing existing conditions and conditions after the construction of the interchange. MKJI (1997) is being used to calculate the capacity and free flow speed. SATURN 10.4 is used as auxiliary programme. This research was initiated by collecting data for road networks that will be made modeling. After the data is collected, then make a basic road network is then being made in the existing condition. In addition to road network, also required the origin destination matrix (OD). In this study, data origin destination matrix (OD) is obtained by searching the data base on traffic volume information. The next step, is road network loading. The result of the imposition of road networks are then tested its validity. After the value of validity is nearing the required value, a few scenarios are being made. The results show that there are problems in the existing condition of Simpang Jombor, which are having average degree of saturation of 0.81. After the construction of interchange, the average degree of saturation to be 0.38, but still there is a problem that is the intersection of the northern arm has a degree of saturation of 0.88 and a large public bus route changes. The problem is then solved by changing the intersection into a roundabout, where the terms are no longer arm of the intersection but interwoven. Average degree of saturation of the intersection to 0.28. For the election of public bus routes to consider the advantages and disadvantages as well as a manifestation of environmentally friendly transportation and fuel efficient.
