  • Evaluation of short circuit current after reconfiguration for feeder 2 substation Srondol is essential for examining the protection system of the network whether it is adequated or not. For the case of reconfiguration of feeder 2 Srondol substation, the maximum short circuit current close to the Srondol substation did not change i.e. 8472 A, but the short circuit current phase to ground at the end of the feeder was decreased from 2793 A to 1786 A. There was no change on maximum short circuit current close to the feeder 2 Srondol substation after reconfiguration, therefore the circuit breaker is still adequated, however the minimum short circuit current fase to earth fault is less than the setting of OCR for instataneous element i.e. 2100A, while the short circuit current phase to ground fault at the end of feeder is 1786 A, therefore the setting of OCR have to be changed to 1786 A. The total clearing time of fuse of lateral feeder 2 Srondol substation is faster the operation time of PMT placed in Srondol substation, therefor the koordination between fuse and PMT is achieved.
