- Energy security is the matter of survival for Japan whom suffered energy resources dependency. Japan energy policy consist for external and internal policy which as its conventional postures shaped by three decades long policy track record. That conventional form served as a basis to overcome common obstacles of late. Conflicting nature of global energy security forcing Japan to use Conflict Resolution Strategies as a basis of its external policies with collaborative and compromise pattern inside competitive climate. While at internal stage Japan policy could be recognized with Model of Policy as follows: modification of preexisting policy (incremental model), optimizing all factors that could help enhancing energy security (integrative model), and continual experiments to find alternative ways to enhance energy security (sequential model).
