- Limited occupation opportunity inside the country forced some people to work as Indonesian Migrant Worker / �Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI). One of these regions is Caruy village, Cipari District, Cilacap Regency which also become the study location. The women becoming Indonesian Migrant Worker have emerged certain phenomenon in the society, by leaving mothers� domestic jobs which has been shifted to their husband. This research basically tried to explain further how was the role of TKI�s husband in maintaining the family existence. The method used in this research was qualitative one. The data source in this study was the TKI�s husbands determined by snow ball technique. Data collection techniques used were deep interview, observation, and documentation. The data types in this research were all statements or informant�s action (primary data), data about Indonesian Migrant Worker and Caruy village profile (secondary data). Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data display, and conclusion withdrawal / verification. The study result showed that there has been mother function role shift (public and domestic role) adjusted by TKI family characteristic i.e. nuclear and extended family. The imbalance of TKI family function management would result in TKI family jolt (existence). Based on this research, the author recommended that: (1) It is needed to understand gender equivalent toward TKI family
