- The development of Internet utilization by business enterprises has gained its booming momentum since 1990s. The Internet utilization on online trade activities, called Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce) has growing rapidly over worldwide. Both large and small companies may harness various benefit from E- Commerce, especially for market reach and business competitiveness developing. This study is aimed to investigate the factors influencing E-Commerce adoption and its impact to firms� performance. It is a survey study to MSMEs handicraft in Province of Yogyakarta. It is a hypothesis testing study with cross-sectional approach. Purposive sampling method is employed and is obtained 55 samples from hundreds of MSMEs handicraft located in Yogyakarta. This study collected more than 10 percent response rate. Data is analyzed by Partial Least Square (PLS) method. Generally, handicraft MSMEs in Yogyakarta have mostly, still, adopting E-Commerce at initiation level. It can be said that the technology utilization by enterprises is mostly on the level of Internet utilization for marketing and communicating with customers through Web/blog and email. It indicates utilization of Internet-based ICT that leads to E-Commerce application.
