- United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has approved batik as a genuine cultural heritage of Indonesia, and in Indonesia, known as the city of batik is Pekalongan. Industry and Batik Trading in Pekalongan City has become spirit of the economy, so that sustainability needs to be maintained and enhanced. Like any other systems, the system of Industry and Batik Trading in Pekalongan City requires the flow of information. To ensure the quality and the smooth flow of information, the 'nformation System is necessary. The type of appropriate information systems to be applied on the system of Industry and Batik Trading in Pekalongan City is a web-based Geographic Information System (Web GIS). To optimize, the development of Web GIS for Industry and Batik Trading in Pekalongan City, conducted through the system analysis phase, system design, testing and evaiuation. Methods used for data coltection are fiefd observation, documentation study and literature study. Object-oriented approach used in the analysis and design phase, while the model used for system development is Rapid Application Development (RAD). This Web GIS was developed with software tools that are free and open source, namely: Mapserver, Pmapper, Mapwindow, QGIS, Netbeans, PostGIS, and StarUML. Web ~IS for Industry and Batik Trading in Pekalongan City, developed as an application system that provides information about the location of Industry and Batik Trading in Pekalongan City is intact, web-based, dynamic, and interactive. The information presented includes the area of Pekalongan City, administrative boundaries of villages, road infrastructure, batik shops , batik markets, batik tourist villages and industrial centers of batik. Integrated Test results show that Web GIS Application does not have a disability application, so it deserves to published, and used
