- The purpose of this study is to increase awareness of gender equality of husband and wife in the family which the wife works in informal sector by using pendidikan keluarga berwawasan gender (PKBG). The method used in this study is experimental research by using pretest-posttest control group design. The characteristics of the subjects in this study are: (1) The couple of husband and wife in the family which the wife works in informal sector, in which one or both of them have a low awareness of gender equality, (2) Never receive pendidikan keluarga berwawasan gender (PKBG), (3) Fluent in reading and writing. This study uses the scale to gather the data of gender equality awareness. The scale used in this study is the awareness of gender equality scale.
