Daftar Isi:
- Briquette is a pretty good energy source developed in our country, because biobriket very abundant energy source, even biobriket-forming raw material is considered waste. Constraints briquette users is the difficulty in starting high (reaction rate), because the briquettes can not be fired immediately if there is no ignition media. Kerosene used for starting but they're expensive and hard to come by, so held a method of varying the reaction surface area and composition of briquettes to accelerate the formation of initial flame (reaction), in the hope that this method can accelerate the initial reaction or ignition. To get a fast starting high briquettes, used variations of Coco-dust mixture of flammable materials, and methods of expanding the surface in hopes of rapid combustion reaction in the combustion and kalornya values remain high. Cocodust (A) and Coconut Shell Charcoal (B) by varying the composition of a mixture of C1 (10% A +90% B), C2 (20% A +80% B) and C3 (30% A +70% B), printed 3 forms a cube with size variations Specific surface area V1 (6cm 2 ), V2 (24cm 2 ), V3 (96cm 2 ) 75kg/100cm 2 formation pressure, the maximum mesh size 35. The results of research, treatment C3V1 Concentration (30% A + 70% B, 6cm2) reaction rate (flame) 25 seconds and C1V1 treatment concentration (10% A + 90% B, 6cm2) with the same surface area, flame speed 45 seconds. Thus the concentration of briquettes influence on the reaction rate. Changes in size also affects the speed of the reaction (flame), such as with C1V3 C1V1, the same concentration but the size of a contact reaction to four times the size of contacts C1V1 C1V3 reaction, the result C1V1 flame 47 seconds faster compared to C1V3. So obviously vast differences in reaction to touch and concentration differences will affect the speed of initial ignition (reaction). Coco-dust mixture is flammable element because it has a high volatile matter can be considered as a catalyst in the combustion reaction briquettes
