The objective of this study is to implement community composting technology in Rusunawa, this study was conducted in 4 (four) stages, that are public counseling, counseling per floor, socialization through the cultivation of vegetable and flower gardens, socialization through neighbors and socialization through the media. Analysis in this study were done by combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis methods. The research indicates that household waste that produced by the community in Rusunawa can produce compost with the content of P (phosphorus) and K (Potassium) above SNI standard, but have the content of N (nitrogen) and C (carbon) under SNI standard. After the process of socialization, more than 50% of people already have awareness of environmental issues and participate in composting activities. The most popular form of socialization is the socialization through media and through a neighbor. To improve the quality of compost, it needs additional time of composting and the additional of nutrients. To guarantee its sustainability, it is necessary to establish self-supporting of community organizations in managing the composting business in Rusunawa.
