- This research aims to analyze of: (1) influencing factors farmers make decision of non tobacco farming system or tobacco farming system in next year. (2) Identifying trade-off phenomena on farming component if change in tobacco farming system with non-tobacco farming system This research was conducted in slope of Sindoro-Sumbing mountain, Temang-gung. Forty two sub-village sample were multistage sampling taken and farmers sample take in proporsional sampling. Cross-sectional data with total samples of 724 farmers to farmer decision analisys in non-tobacco farming system changing. Logit model in maximum likelihood estimator were employed data. Trade-off analysis in 42 sub village sample for input and output variables with proportion non-tobacco area change were used Cobb-Douglas type model and Feasible General Least Square methode to identified trade-off phenomena. Tradeoff phenomena was saw in proportion non-tobacco farming sistem area variable. The results show that 11 comodities farming system in dry season in 23 crops rotation. Factors influencing the decision choice of non-tobacco farming system on negative corelations which are age of family farmer chief, employ in family, dummy variable of land far, economic productivities land in t-0, tobacco price in t-0, and non-tobacco price in t-0. But positive corelation with relative altitude land, farmer experience�s in non- tobacco planting, economic productivities land in t-1, tobacco price in t-1, and non-tobacco price in t-1. And factors not influence are farmer land area, land position, and non tobacco price in t-1. Trade-off analysis shows trade-off phenomena was caused commodities farming system change, that state that exchange of the decreasing tobbaco areal plantation with increasing of total cost and some farming input, but not for farmer revenue
