- The existence of library in an institution is to support the institution in achieving its objectives. In the academic environment, the existence of a library is particularly to help the learning process in the academic community. Generally, academic libraries cover two systems in their development, i.e centralzed and decentralized. Those two systems have advantages and disadvantages. The system applied at UIN Alauddin Library is decentralized. This was a case study with qualitative descriptive analyses. Data ware obtained through observation, interview and documentation study at UIN Alauddin Library. The study discusses the category of correlate ion between Main and Faculty Libraries, from there perspectives, they are (1) services. The service system at UIN Alauddin Library is open access. Information retrieval system in main library is online and offline
