- This study aimed to determine the rights of peoples in the region hutanBantimurung Bulusaraung after designated as National Park, the factors that encourage people to defend their rights within the National Park area, and the efforts made by citizens and government in order settlement solutions peoples' rights in forest areas Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park. This research is an empirical legal research, the research field, reinforced with library research. The data obtained are the primary data and secondary data. Data collection tool is through the interview. This research was conducted in District Simbang by respondents numbered 60 people, drawn by purposive non-random sampling. The results showed that, over land rights in forest area residents Bantimurung Bulusaraung after designated as National Park, in reality is not recognized anymore, because citizens are banned and prevented from doing the logging of trees, take a cane, picked up the candle and the activity of other within the National Park area. The factors that encourage citizens defend their rights within the National Park area Bantimurung Bulusaraung, the factor of limited area of agricultural land available, pengrtahuan factors and public attitudes toward the existence of the National Park Bantimurun Bulusaraung uncertainty factor is still lacking and the boundary of the Park area Bantimurung Bulusaraung . The efforts undertaken by the government and the citizenry in the resolution of conflict on people's rights within the National Park area Bantimurung Bulusaraung, that is (a. made by members of the community: a strike came to the Maros district legislature and ask for legal assistance to the Institute Help law to represent their interests in resolving legal issues that occur. b. is performed by the government: the inaugural speed limit, the location of National Parks danluas Bantimurung Bulusaraung to obtain legal certainty, involving the participation of citizens to preserve the National Park, in the form of village community development, tree of life, and entered counseling.)
