- The porpuse of this study is to find out/to determined the causality between the economic growth in the poverty in East Java in period 2000-2009. They are one way causality between the economic growth and poverty rate, two ways causality between economic growth and the poverty rate, or no causality economic growth and poverty rate in East Java. This study used the method of analysis of granger causality test with stationarity test and cointegrity test. The result suggets that: There is unidirectional causality in the long-run from poverty rate to economic growth in East Java province in period 2000-2009.
