- One function of the layer of foundation (Base Course) is to support the load on the surface layer, and reduce stress / strain, and forward / distribute it to the layer underneath. Granular base course to form aggregates and ligature, either asphalt or cement. One alternative that could be considered to utilize granular coarse aggregate form bantak is to improve quality in order to qualify as a material specification bunk asphalt pavement.
