- In the present time, the young generation’s interest to learn a traditional culture, especially traditional dance art, still very low. If this problem not soonly be tackle, thus it is not imposible that Indonesian would loss its identity in the future. Thus, the degradation of young generation’s interest to learn their regional cultures, should have a solution. One of the solution could be done is by revitalizing that traditional cultures. Amongst all of art kind that exist in Bunguran Timur District, Natuna Regency, traditional music and dance of this region was still get young generation attention, so Regional Government of Natuna Regency through Culture and Touristme Office, had made any policy to Revitalizing the Culture in some action form. Among others, Mapping of Traditional Dance Art Studio, Education and Training on Traditional Dance and Music, Representation of Traditional Dance Art through Competition and Festival, Documantation and Fund Aids for Dance Art Studio. Other of that, there was Revitalization Policy in culture through non studio pathway too. But, from in the reality, from Revitalization Action that had done by Culture and Tourism Office of Natuna Regency for regioal music and dance, showed opposite reality from its initial aim and objective of that Revitalization Action. Most of the participant of that action, have no ability to develop all knowledge and skill they had get in training in each of their environment, even there was among of them that not active at all in culture art action in their environment. The result of the research using qualitative and kuantitative method, much of young generation still not understand yet and not sure too that developing of traditional dance art through revitalitation by government and non government agency, could as “capital” to developing traditional dance art. Its also find, that virtually young generation, in developing traditional dance art, more prioritizing the intensity of learning in a studio. Essentially, they was open mind Revitalization Action that doing by local government. But, they feel the benefit they get not sufficient. Because process to developing traditional dance art, must be perform countinually and persistently. Not only be perform one each year, but also in each week. All of concept and revitalitation policy in Bunguran Timur District, Natuna Regency, substantially was good and steady. But its need to search a way and strategy to revitalizing in specialty and causality. Because revitalize a traditional art especially traditional dance art, need serious and thourough observation.
