  • A problem frequently arise in the world of education is childrenâ��s low academic achievement because they have below average intelligence or borderline. A borderline child usually has a weakness in reading ability. Some schools didnâ��t facilitate their ability to optimize through the existing curriculum. Therefore this study was aimed to test the learning programs that can be used to improve reading fluency borderline child. The assessment studies conducted in children third grader children using intelligence tests, academic results, interview teacher and parent, observation of the subject and reading test. Intervention program that performed adapted Read well programs method of reading which includes tutoring, small group, and repeated. This program was given 16 sessions in the experimental group and after completion then given to control group. Mann-Whitney U-test showed that the program didnâ��t significantly improve reading fluency (number of word right in one minute: Z= -0.218
