- Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) becomes common system nowadays spreads from home to industrial site. This network typically consists of hundreds to thousands of nodes. This huge number of nodes lead to the requirement of easy to control and manage from virtually everywhere. The internet protocol (IP) is the only solution to address the requirement. However, most of installed WSN are not directly connected to IP. Some manufacturers provide gateway solution to integrate WSN and IP. However, the gateway must be purchased separately, of course with the cost. Furthermore, they are proprietary system which is not easy to customized. This paper presents one of solutions to integrate WSN and IP with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) device. Wi-Fi Access Point (AP) is chosen in this research for integrating WSN and IP because of WiFi proliferation. The results show that the COTS device can be used to integrate between WSN and IP.
