- Adaptation and adjusment are broadly treated as the efforts made by Bajo tribe to deal with the change transforming them from the ocean human being into the land human being, as eligibly seen from their house alteration. The outcome of the research shows that there are two elements supporting the change on the Bajo tribe house; they are; 1) the room change covers the change on width, number of rooms, and function. 2) the quality change includes the use of floor materials, wall materials and the house pillars. Referring to the outcome of the research, it can be categorized that the change is adequately taken place on the houses built on the land area. The external factors enhance the change are 1) the physical natural world around human being, 2) the Battle events, 3) the influence of other cultures, and the internal factors are; 1)the number of inhabitants, 2)the in cam level, 3) the inhabitants activity. To Bajo people, the ocean is not the only alternative place to live, they will deliberately and extensively determine the most appropriate condition for them to exist, the most important point here to be drawn is that the ocean has become their primary resources to endure and improve their life.
