- Some countries are developing their coastal areas mainly for beach area conservation. This improvement needs to be performed when the beach is eroded and the coastal line is moving toward the onshore area where the settlement and tourism area are located. One of the natural beach protection is applying the artificial beach nourishment. In order to get an optimum design of the stable beach slope, this paper studies the effect of wave period on the slope profile of the artificial sandy beach.
