- Abstract Cultivation of maize have not been used in tidal swamp land, mostly done on upland. This is because there are still many constraints and problems inherent in tidalswamp land. Tidalswamp land have problems as specific as high salinity, there is an element of toxic Af+ and F£i+,the loss of the bases of Ca, Mg, and K, the solubility of Af+, F£i+and If" is high, deficiency of p, Cu, Zn, and B, containingpyrite which are toxic to plants. Therefore require specific management in maize cultivation in tidal swamp land on the various types of overflow. This research aims to determine the effect of overflow type on growth and yield components of maize and to obtain location-specific technology recommendations of land management in each type of overflow. Research conducted at the Sungai Bulan, Kubu Raya, West Kalimantan, using field survey methods such as zoning overflow type, and field trials to determine the productivity of maize. The results showed that the type of overflow effect on growth and yield components of maize, and overflow type of D produce the best maize.
