- To respond the impact ofY ogyakarta earthquake May, 272006 in finance sector and SMEs, one of collaboration institution of Indonesia - Germany designed three main sub component project interventions. One of sub components is in the form of fund loan which is proposed as a productive loan to SMEs The objectives of the research is to figure out how far the project of micro finance support has effect on the recovery process of productive SMEs with low income of earthquake victims. The research is the empirical research by using the approach of condition of the beneficiaries "before and after treatment" that is the condition of the respondents when the earthquake happened or before the project and the condition when the project impact assessment is held. The respondents of the research are clients (beneficiaries) and non-clients. The selection of the respondents was be done through survey approach that is the respondents was be decided sysistematic random sampling. Impact study in the level of client was be done by the approach "with and without treatment" i.e. comparing the condition of the respondents who got the credit and they who did not (non beneficiaries) as control. Non-clients respondents were selected by purposive sampling by using simillar criteria with client respondenst. The research has found that the program has give benefit and impact to clients. Client's business get better
