- Operations along CAM-CNC process indeed play major role in manufacturing world since manufactured products are increasingly complex. In accordance, the need for CAM tools by the manufacturing engineer, NC pro~ammer or machinist is highly essential since it is no doubt that only accurate CAM file should be passed up front into CNC machining process. Further, inte~ated CAM-CNC operation is also considered as enabler for realizing collaborative manufacturing processes. This paper suggests a domain specific model of knowledge based application for inte~ating CAM-CNC operation. CAM-CNC related aspects are clustered and each cluster is considered as influencing domain. The cross-cutting or overlapping domains including its aspects decomposes this domain specific model as the proposed solution towards above global challenge. The basic approach is to improve the ability of CAM system to be able to manage bi-directional flow of product data, not only forward flow but also its backward flow according to current pro~ess on CNC operation side. Implementation scheme for further development will involve object-oriented modular reasoning system as the ontology editor for querying the OWL file. Thus, the approach on structuring the model should take semantic ontological principal into account. Keywords: Knowledge based, CAM-CNC, Semantic & Ontology
