- Manganese ore deposits in the Cileutak Area, Simpenan District is exposed locally. The outcrop of the ore deposits is recognized in the form of fracture infilling, replacement of the rock matrix and in the form of fragments of manganese. The research in this area aims to explain the geological controls on the distribution and mineralization process of manganese deposits by conducting characterization, determining the style of manganese ore mineralization through field work as well as mineralogic, alteration, and geochemical studies.
