- The goal of the study was to know the effect of black and white color feather on the production and reproduction of native chicken. Each of four black color males was mate to the four white color female. All of the chicken fed freely contained around 14.62% CP and 2,815.79 ME kcal/kg. Fed record every week, egg taken every day and record the infertility, fertility and hatchability. The result showed that color feather did not influenced the production and reproduction of black and white color feather. Age at egg production influenced the production and reproduction of the chicken. Weight of egg and DOC, fertility, and hatchability were increased with the increasing of age, meanwhile feed consumption and egg production were raised, reach the peak, the decline (p<0.01). it concluded that color feather did not affect the production and reproduction, meanwhile age at egg production highly significant influenced in the production and reproduction of kampung chicken.
