- This research was done at Taman Simpang Lima and Taman Menteri Supeno in Semarang and aimed at finding out the differences in micro climates as observed from differences in the level of percentage of the width of canopy coverage and the tree density. Besides, the researcher wanted to find out the role of vegetation in the formation of micro climate, as well as the aesthetic value of the park, and the differences in aesthetic quality and social-cultural function of the two parks as the active public open space.
