  • ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to find the effects of iron sand concentration and CMC concentration on carrier fluid to the rheological characteristic of slurry flow in a horizontal elbow. The mixture of carrier fluid-iron sand was flowed in horizontal elbow, with 0.96 m radius of curvature, 0.0387 m inner diameter, and 1.5 m long. The pressure drop data was taken at 150-450 and 45°-75° from the entrance flow, with four point measurements at each cross sectional area, i.e. the bottom and upper sections of the elbow, and inner and outer sections of elbow curvature.
