- Ibnu Prenoto - Obstetric rectovaginal fistula: A case report This paper presents a case or rectovaginal fistula repair in Taniunglai Karimun Hospital, Kapulauan Riau. Rectovaginal fistula diagnosis was established in a 23-year-old female who had rectovaginal fistula following the spontaneous vaginal delivery of her first baby. Episiotomy was performed during delivery. She was admitted with complaints of the vaginal passage of as and stool one week after the delivery. The physical uxamination revealed the connection of posterior wall of vagina and rectum 1 cm in diamater, and approximately 2 cm from intro:tus vagina. Abdominal ultrasound examination and routine blood examinations were normal, After thorough bowel preparation and prophylactic antibiotics patient was taken up for surgery, Fisturectemy and vagina repair were performed after the purpuerium.
