- ABSTRACT The objectives of this research is to study the effect of Saga (Abrus precatorius L) seeds extract on mice ( Mus musculus L.) blood serum testosterone levels and quality of spermatozoa. Twenty five two-month old male mice were used and devided into five groups as control, placebo, 0.35 mg/gram body weight (gbw), 0.70 mg/ gbw, 1.40 mg/gbw as dosage treatment respectively. The extract were given orally 0.5 nil/day for 34 days. The data were analyzed by using Analysis of Variance and Least Significant Difference, and Linear Regression Analysis. The results indicate that seeds extract of Saga (Abrus precatorius L.) decreasing the blood serum testosterone levels and spermatozoa motility, mobility as well as viabilitybut increasing the spermatozoa abnormality. So seeds extract might be was potential as birth control agent which given orally. Key word : Saga seeds, testosteron, spermatozoa quality
