  • ABSTRACT A paradigm shift from a teacher-centered instruction to a student-centered learning has implications on system, organization, implementation, and evaluation changes. Therefore, such paradigm shift should be planned carefully and wisely with respect to understanding of rationale, carefulness, simplicity, consistency, continuity, controllable, measurable, gradual implementation, and minimal resistance. Efficiency and effectiveness of the implementation of changes are integral part of wisdom. Success, deviation, constraint, delay, and even failure are consequences of any changes. Harmonizing reality and idealism should be kept on mind. Key words: paradigm shiftâ�� teacher centered -- student centeredâ��wisdom - idealism .
