  • Background: Patients of health care insurance is a captive market in Wangaya hospital, and yet, there were still some complaints toward the cost sharing and quality. Method: The subject of this research was patients who experienced in patient treatment. The population was 336 in patients that consist of general and Health Care Insurance patients. The sample was 63 patients of Health Care Insurance who were treated in a class that already adjusted with their rights. Instrument being used was check list for interview, and list of questions to measure quality and satisfaction. Result: Percentage of accommodation cost sharing in the sample that obtained surgery was 45,6% for accommodation and 54,4% for medicine cost sharing. Sample who did not obtained surgery of cost sharing accommodation was 48,4% and medicine cost sharing was 51,6%. From these percentages, it was shown that the tendency of medicine cost sharing was higher than accommodation cost sharing. The result of analysis showed that there was a relationship between levels of satisfaction with the health service cost sharing. This was caused by the cost sharing that paid by Health Care Insurance and Health Care Insurance Participant Subsidize, in spite of the hospital which already in a good service quality condition. There were some complaints from the participant of Health Care Insurance which did not laid on the health services in the hospital, instead it was laid on other factors which did not being examined. There was a significant relationship between type of health service action with cost sharing, with p 0,0014 and r 0,343, and there was also a relationship between quality with the level of satisfaction with p 0,00 and r 0,711. There was no relationship between level of satisfaction with cost sharing. There was no relationship between variable of sample characteristic, length of stay with the cost sharing. There was no relationship between variable of characteristic and length of stay. Conclusion: There was no relationship between levels of satisfaction with cost sharing. There was a relationship between the types of health service action with cost sharing. On the other hand, there was no relationship between characteristic, lengths of stay and health service quality with the cost sharing. Keyword: in patient, cost sharing, health service quality
