- Tahu producer "Sahardjo" is one among 35 tahu producers in Somopuro, Jogonalan, Klaten that has same technical problem in making tahu especialy in operating steam boiler. The project was conducted in order to improve the � existing steam boiler in such way so it can be operated efficiently, save fuels, and reduce production cost. A control tank and a reservoir tank were designed and conducted then assembled to the steam boiler. The tank control! and maintain the level of water inside the steam boiler. The modified steam boiler can save 10.15 m3 of fuel and reduce production cost to scrventy thousand rupiahs per day. The tank was made off steel sheet 2 mm thickness, the dimension of the controll tank was 40 cm in lenght, 40 cm in width, and 60 in height, while the reservoir tank was 100 cm in lenght, 100 cm in width, and 120 cm height.
