- ABSTRACT The effect of PMSG and PGF2�a on ovum maturation and ovulation induction was assessed in African catfish under tank culture conditions. Twenty five female fish, weighing 250 to 300 grams and having mature ovaries, were obtained from a local commercial hatchery. The females were divided equally into five groups and were assigned as follows: each fish in group I received nothing (control)
