- ABSTRAK Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) is one of the indicators of viral hepatitis B infection, which can be transmitted horizontally or vertically. The purpose of this studywas to examine the prevalence of HBsAg (+) sera in the Tulung Village, Tulung Sub-district, Klaten District of Central Java, and the correlation of HEtsA,g and the use of diagnostic/therapeutic needles. This retrospective study indicated that the prevalence was 2% and that there was no strong positive correlation between invasive and viral hepatitis infection.
