- The research attempts to find the empirical evidence that there is rela-tion between decentralization structure and budgetary participation on mana-gerial performance of local government agency mediated by organizational commitment on agency offices of municipality and regencies in Yogyakarta Province. The questionnaires were given to 325 respondents that consist of the agency head, sub-agency head, section head, department head and sub-department head from agency offices that are concerned with wealth, educa-tion and communication. The answers of respondents in this research were analyzed by using structure equation modeling (SEM). The result of test shows that organiza-tional commitment can mediate relation between decentralization structure and budgetary participation toward managerial performance. Increasing the level of decentralization and budgetary participation will increase organiza-tional commitment so that performance of local government agency manag-ers will be better.
