  • ABSTRACT Tracer study on the alumni of the Faculty of Animal Science revealed that fresh graduates could not compete to find job and they do not posses spirit of entrepreneurship. Therefore, the Faculty of Animal Science has to revise and up date the curriculum by introducing entrepreneurship course to anticipate national and international to get competition among the graduates who seek job. The aim of entrepreneurship course is to train and to teach student of the Faculty of Animal Science, Gadjah Mada University about entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship course was conducted by student based and problem based methods during 14 weeks In one semester. There were 121 students from 4 departments, which consisted of 25-42 students respectively. This course was compulsory to students of Social and Economic Department but it was elective course to students of Animal Production, Nutrition and Feed Animal and Technology of Animal Product Departments. Materials of course consisted of teaching course, field practical study, entrepreneur simulation, and questionnaire evaluation. There were three methods of entrepreneurship learning i.e. lecture, discussion and module. The results were obtained namely module, GBPP-SAP, some packets of entrepreneurship in broilers raising, sales of broiler meat, eggs, milk and animal product, books, agent of newspaper of animal husbandry, food row materials and Moslem cloths. Result of questioner indicated that 78.3% students need of entrepreneur course and 63.3% will be applied on entrepreneur. There were 93.3% adopted from the experience of successful on entrepreneur and 85% indicated that entrepreneurship group was important. The final examination indicated that excellent result was 25.62%, very good (54.55%), good (11.57%) and the other was fail. It was concluded that method of student based and problem based were applied for increasing student entrepreneurship spirit and easily understood by the student. Almost all participants will apply entrepreneurship course after finishing their study. Keywords: entrepreneurship
