- ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the influence of changing pattern of the relationship between Islam dan state, within the revival of "political Islam" in Indonesia, especially during 1990-1999. It is based on the assumption that accommodative pattern of relationship between Islam dan state will ease the process of designing model of Moslem community struggle, through structural approach including the struggle form of "political Islam". In other words, the main point of the research is to study the revival of "political Islam " in Indonesia as a part of dynamics relationship between Islam and state. The study employs structural approach which is situated in equalibrium dan contradiction method. It uses qualitative analysis method, particularly library research. Then, the data are critically analyzed to get proper understanding about the problems in the study. It is found that
