- This research is mainly to study the effect of annealing on the stress rupture behaviour of carbon steel. The experiments were carried out by using the stress rupture tests on two different specimens condition, namely as raw Materials and as annealing materials. Stress rupture tests were conducted at two different temperatures, i.e. 500 T' and 600r. Each of this temperature was done using 5 loads variations. The results showed that annealing reduced rupture strength and resistance to creep due to coarsening of pearlite in the microstructures of carbon steel.
