- ABSTRACT The experiment was conducted at the controlled growth chamber with the artificial light of 10 mercury HQI 400W as a source of 300 iumol m-2 minute-I photons. Duration of a day is 16 hours with the temperature of 22°C in the day and 18°C in the night. The objective of the experiment was to study the change and the restoration capacity of the ultrastructure root nodules after defoliation. Defoliation was applied 2 months after germination by two ways, namely : 1. light defoliation (cutting the petiole and 1 cm from the stolon left)
